Carotid arteries ultrasound:
A Carotid Arteries Doppler is a non-invasive ultrasound test that evaluates blood flow in the carotid arteries in the neck. It helps detect narrowing, blockages, or plaque buildup, which may increase stroke risk.
Indications include dizziness, transient vision loss, or history of stroke or TIA. It’s often used in patients with cardiovascular risk factors like hypertension or diabetes. Early detection allows for preventive treatment and reduced risk of serious complications.
Genecology scan:
A Gynecology Ultrasound is a non-invasive scan used to examine the uterus, ovaries, and pelvic area. It helps investigate pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, infertility, or suspected cysts or fibroids. Indications include irregular periods, heavy bleeding, or monitoring known conditions. It provides detailed images to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The scan is safe, quick, and often the first step in evaluating women’s reproductive health.
Abdominal Ultrasound:
An Abdominal Ultrasound is a non-invasive scan that evaluates organs in the abdomen, including the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, pancreas, spleen, and bladder. It’s commonly used to investigate abdominal pain, bloating, liver issues, kidney stones, or abnormal blood tests. Indications also include monitoring known conditions like cysts or gallstones. The scan is quick, safe, and does not use radiation. It provides valuable information for early diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
Testicular ultrasounds:
A Testicular Ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging test used to examine the testicles and surrounding tissues. It helps evaluate pain, swelling, lumps, or trauma in the scrotum. Indications include suspected torsion, infection (epididymitis), hydrocele, or testicular mass. The scan provides clear images without radiation, making it ideal for all ages. Early diagnosis supports timely treatment and peace of mind.
Thyroid scan:
A Thyroid Ultrasound is a painless, non-invasive scan that produces images of the thyroid gland in the neck. It’s used to assess lumps, nodules, enlargement (goitre), or abnormal thyroid function.
Indications include a visible neck swelling, abnormal blood tests, or family history of thyroid disease. The test helps distinguish benign from suspicious nodules and guides further care if needed. It’s safe, quick, and does not use radiation.
Joints Scans:
A Joint Ultrasound Scan is a safe, non-invasive test used to assess joints and surrounding soft tissues. It helps detect inflammation, fluid buildup, arthritis, tendon or ligament injuries, and joint pain causes.
Commonly scanned joints include the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle. Indications include swelling, stiffness, pain, or suspected injury. The scan allows for real-time evaluation, supports diagnosis, and guides treatment without radiation.
